Some Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a limited edition print and an open edition print?

Only a finite number of prints are made with a limited edition while an open edition is not restricted. Usually the limited editions are larger in size than open edition prints which are usually 8x10 or 11x14. The main difference is that limited edition prints undergo a proofing process to ensure the prints are to my exact standards. Once the prints meet my standards they are signed and come with a certificate of authenticity. If you are looking for an investment in fine art a limited edition print can increase in value over time.

Do you offer framing and matting?

Sorry, I don't offer framing or matting with my limited edition prints. There are too many personal choices for colors and styles to make this option cost effective. You can purchase framed and matted giclee prints on-line from my store hosted by Fine Art America.

Is the color I see on my computer the color I'll get on the print?

All of my photographs have been prepared to give the truest colors possible. However, computer monitors differ from each other and must be calibrated. I can't guarantee that the colors you see on your monitor will match the print you purchase. In every case, however, the actual print will look better than what was seen on the monitor.

What if I'm not satisfied with the quality of my print?

Because of the "factory" process involved in producing my open edition prints I realize that sometimes mistakes in production can occur. If you are not satisfied with your print let me know. I guarantee 100% satisfaction with both my limited and open edition prints.

 How are your photographs made?

Whether I'm using film or a digital camera all of my photographs are printed with professional quality inkjet printers using fine art standards. Some people refer to this type of print as a giclee.

Is it safe to order online?

Yes, when you place an order at one of my online galleries the transaction is encrypted so no one can steal your information.
