Prices
Offering photographs online enables me to sell at reduced prices since there
is no art gallery involved. Some photographs, however, have been on display at art galleries and
I have an agreement with those galleries to sell at gallery prices only. For the most part
I don't display those photographs on my website, but any
photographs that fall into this category are cleary marked.
I offer two types of prints. Limited edition prints are made on a Lightjet digital
enlarger after a series of proofing to ensure the final image is made exactly
to my standards. These are fine art collectable type-C photographs. My limited
edition prints range from $200 to $500. I also offer open edition, smaller versions of
the same prints which are more affordable and range from $10 to $50. Prices on specific
items can be found at my online store.
Depending on the aspect ratio of the photograph the image size
may be different from the paper size. Any photograph that is significantly
different in size from the paper size will be noted in the gallery. If you
need to know that actual photo size send me an email before ordering and I
will send you the exact measurements.
Processing
Everyone knows that quality print processing starts with world-class
printers and paper. I use the latest silver halide photographic printers
available, as well as, Fuji and Ilford archival paper to produce top-quality images.
Silver halide prints are more durable with less graininess than ink jet
technologies. With Fuji Crystal Archive paper, for example, colors are brighter, whites
are sharper, and prints do not fade or yellow. The result is a sharper, more
crisp appearance for exhibition allowing you to display your print for years.
Technical Information
The galleries on this website are a combination of film and digital
images. I have been using 35 mm and 120 mm cameras for ages, but recently I have
discovered what a quality digital camera is capable of producing. While all of my
images go through a digital refining process, it should be noted that none of the
features in my traditional nature images were added digitally. When shooting digitally, or on film,
it is necessary to make some corrections and enhancements when fine-tuning an image.
All of my traditional landscape images and the subjects within them are real and represent what
was visible by the human eye at the time the photograph was taken.
